Pumpkin Carving

Our friends, the Southerlands, joined us for dinner one night near the end of October.  They brought with them 2 American pumpkins.  Our kids had a great time carving them with Brother Southerland.  I love the looks on Lizzie's face in these pictures.

Carving pumpkins can really bring out your crazy side:

Middle School Lunch

After Sarah & I played the Korean drums with Andrew, we headed over to the cafeteria and joined Savannah and her friends for lunch.  Savannah has a great group of friends here.  She's having so many great experience in middle school.

Traditional Korean Instruments

On Hanbok Day at the kids' school this October, a musical group came to teach the kids how to play some traditional Korean instruments.  Sarah and I dropped by the school during the time Andrew's class was playing the instruments.  So we took a few pictures.  Andrew was so sweet to help Sarah join in on the fun by sharing his turn on the drums.

Korean Candle Craft

Every October, our kids' international school celebrates Korea Week, a week dedicated to learning about Korean culture.  This year during Korea week, Lizzie's class decorated candles with hanji, traditional Korean paper.  Lizzie's candle turned out so cute.  I enjoyed volunteering that day, to help Lizzie and her friends with this fun craft.

Caleb Plays Ball

Caleb's favorite thing to do is play ball.  'Ball' was his first word.  And he loves to say 'ball' and play ball all day, with whoever is willing to play with him.  Here he plays with Savannah.

Sarah sings in Korean

A friend of mine from church, teaching Sarah how to sing, "I Am a Child of God" in Korean.

Andrew's Field Trip

One of my favorite days this year was spent with Andrew on his class field trip to the Gwacheon Science Museum.  It was a beautiful, perfect October day.  I enjoyed the lovely fall weather, getting to know Andrew's new teacher, seeing Andrew with his cute friends, and most of all, spending one on one time with Andrew.  I love this awesome kid.  He is so fun to hang out with.  I'll always remember this day I had with him.

This is Andrew with his teacher and three of his friends.

Girl Scouts

Savannah has the best group of friends here.  I wish every kid could have as much fun in middle school as she does.
